The 12V Battery Desulfurizer, a more powerful 100 ampere version of the previously shared “Lead Acid Battery Sulfate Dissolver 80A Desulfurizer” device, applies 100A pulses up to 100 µs every 20 seconds.
When the desulfurizer applies a load pulse, it consumes about 0.5mA current, while the remaining current consumption is less than 1mA. The desulfurizer circuit, like the 80A version, has undervoltage protection. The circuit stops working when the battery voltage is around 10.5V.
100A Desulfurizer Circuit Features
Discharge current pulse: Up to 100A.
Discharge pulse time: 20 seconds.
Discharge pulse time: 100us
Quiescent current consumption: <1mA
Working voltage: 11V-18V
Voltage monitoring: Shutdown at <10.5V.
PCB Dimensions: 91×39.5x47mm (Single-layer)
Reverse polarity protection: Yes.
TLC555I integrated circuits in the desulfator device, all electronic components are fed via R1-100-ohm resistor. BZW06-13B Transil protection diode prevents parasitic peaks that may occur in the supply voltage. The desulfator circuit should be mounted in a waterproof box and the battery connection cables should be thick and short.
