The circuit has 1 ampere power adjustable between 1.3…22 volts, normally lm317t 1.2..32 volt adjustable can be used for some reason. If r2 is canceled and 5k is used instead of 2k trimpot, a simple 32 volt adjustable power supply circuit can be used to operate low current circuits. Do not use without a cooler.
Adjustable 1.3-22V Regulated Power Supply Want a regulated voltage that can be adjusted to suit your application? This Adjustable Power Supply is small, easy to build and can be adapted to produce a fully regulated voltage of 1.3V to 22V at currents up to 1A.
The circuit is based on an LM317T adjustable voltage regulator. D1 provides reverse polarity protection while VR1 adjusts the output voltage. There are many constant voltage IC regulators available and they can have 5V, 6V 8V, 9V, 12V and 15V outputs. But what if you want a voltage output that doesn’t fit within one of the standard ranges, or if you want to be able to easily adjust that output voltage? The answer is an adjustable regulator that can be adjusted to provide exactly the voltage you need.
This Adjustable Power Supply consists of a small PC board using a 3-terminal regulator. It doesn’t have many other components – in fact, it only has three diodes, three capacitors, a resistor and a trimpot to adjust the output voltage from the regulator.
