The power output stage in class D amplifier is implemented using two integrated circuits from the company Texas Instruments – TPA3118D2 for the right and left channel and the TPA3116D2 for the channel of the subwoofer. Stereo channels delivering maximum power output 2×30W into loads of 8 Ω and a subwoofer 100W to a load of 2 Ω.

A voltage divider connected between the input pins 6 to 9 are used to set the gain and mode of the Master or the Slave. In this case, operate both integrated circuits as a Master, because everyone is on a separate plate. The gain is set to 26 dB. The chips contain modulators PWM (Pulse Width Modulation, pulse width modulation). The output signal of the integrated circuits is transferred back to analog form using the LC filters low pass second order filter. The RC filter at the output of the end stage is used to mitigate the influence of electromagnetic interference in the vicinity of the amplifier.

As mentioned above, this work deals with design of audio amplifiers in class D with an integrated circuit. This is the design of this type of key, therefore it must be his choice given appropriate attention. In this work will be used integrated circuits TPA3116D2 from the company Texas Instruments.

Amplifier of class D is, in most cases, at the outlet provided with a passive LC filter type low-pass filter of the second order. This is implemented primarily for the suppression of unwanted high frequency spectral components at the output of the amplifier. Passive LC filters are dimensionally and a weight significantly larger than the integrated circuit used for the realization of the very end stage. For this reason the manufacturers for several years they also offer the so-called filterless air amplifiers, in which an external output filter is not required. Then it is necessary to have the speaker connected as close as possible to the amplifier and, if necessary, to perform their connecting shielded cables.

IRS2092 2X50W Class D Amplifier Project The objective of this work is the design and implementation of the amplifier of class D with an output power 2 x 50 W at the impedance load of 4 Ω and a maximum total harmonic distortion of 10 %. In work is described the principle of operation of amplifiers of class D and are dismembered their sub-blocks. In the other chapters is then made the proposal alone amplifiers. Therefore, the proposal of the preamp, power stage, output filter and also the power supply. The basic principles of audio amplifiers working in class D are known for a number of years. Over time, the topology of these devices modified and refined up to the present forms. Amplifiers of class D are mainly used due to its high efficiency. The application most commonly found in battery-powered systems such as cell phones, MP3 players or laptops.
