This circuit allows you to control through the parallel port eight power switches capable themselves of handling the various amps with voltages up to 50V. The circuit is, for security reasons, optically isolated from the PC

The circuit is designed to drive loads that require a continuous supply voltage of between 14 and 50V (with some trick you can also use lower voltage power supplies), with a maximum current of 5A per channel (even if the tracks are printed circuit sized for 10A continuous total). I advise you not to use power supply stabilized: just a simple transformer, a diode bridge and an electrolytic capacitor of capacity (a thousand uF per ampere) or a set of 12 or 24V. Remember that the absorption of current and the voltage is high enough and therefore need a minimum of care when handling the circuit. In particular unrelated or disconnect the circuit at the power source in the presence of tension, sparking intense pain and a little “hygiene” for electronic devices.
